Who Benefits from a Massage?

Woman with her eyes closed while the therapist massages her shoulders and neck

You Work at a Desk

Eight hours at the computer and by evening your neck feels like wood, your shoulders creeping up to your ears. We start with the collar zone and upper back, where tension builds up. You can ask for more or less pressure at any point.

You've Had a Hard Week

After a week of deadlines and running around, an hour of relaxing massage is time just for you, with no phone.

You Play Sport

Running, going to the gym, or playing football on Sundays? Sports massage works the muscles you've used the most. Tell us what sport you do, so the therapist knows where to focus.

Massage at Home in Chisinau

A massage at home costs 750 MDL for 60 minutes and 950 MDL for 90, with travel included anywhere in the city. All you need is a heated room and about 2 by 3 metres of free space; the therapist brings the rest.

For a therapeutic massage at home we come to Riscani, including bd. Moscova, str. Matei Basarab and Posta Veche, as well as Ciocana, Botanica, Buiucani, Centru and Telecentru. Book a day ahead so the therapist can plan the route; same-day is only possible if there's a free slot.

What the Therapist Brings

A foldable massage table, which they set up and pack away themselves.
Clean sheets and towels, and massage oil with no strong smell.
The same techniques and the same time on the table as at the studio.

How a Massage Session Goes

  1. On the Phone

You tell us what's bothering you or which massage you want, choose the duration and time. You find out the price then, before the session.

  2. Before the Massage

The therapist asks where you feel tension, since when, and what kind of work you do, then whether any of the situations below apply to you.

  3. The First Minutes

The therapist adjusts the pressure to you, not to a fixed standard. If it hurts, say so straight away.

  4. The Session

Lasts as long as you've paid for: 30, 60 or 90 minutes on the table, not counting the time to undress and dress.

  5. Afterwards

You get simple advice: drink water, don't lift anything heavy that day, and when it's worth repeating the massage.

When Is a Massage Postponed?

Massage isn't a treatment and doesn't replace a doctor. If you have a diagnosis, ask your doctor first and tell us when booking: in a few situations the session is postponed or done differently.

Tell us when booking if:

  • you're pregnant
  • you have a diagnosed disc hernia or other spinal condition
  • you've had surgery or a fracture in the last few months
  • you have high blood pressure
  • you have varicose veins in your legs

The massage is postponed if you have

  • a fever, cold or flu
  • a skin infection, wounds or burns in the area to be worked on
  • venous thrombosis (only with a doctor's approval)
  • acute inflammation, with swelling and heat in the area
  • cancer under treatment, without a doctor's approval

Questions About Massage in Chisinau

How much does a massage cost in Chisinau?
A back and collar-zone massage, 30 minutes, costs 400 MDL. An hour of relaxing massage costs 550 MDL, an hour of therapeutic massage 600 MDL, and 90 minutes cost 800 and 850 MDL respectively. A massage at home costs 750 MDL for an hour, with travel included. You find out the price when booking, and it doesn't change after the session.
Do you offer massage at home in Chisinau?
Yes. The therapist comes with the folding table, sheets and oil to any district: Riscani, Ciocana, Botanica, Buiucani, Centru or Telecentru. An hour costs 750 MDL, 90 minutes 950 MDL, and travel is included. You just need a warm room and about 2 by 3 metres of free space. Book a day ahead.
Do you offer massage for men?
Yes, at the same prices as for women. Men usually choose the back and collar-zone massage, therapeutic massage after physical work, or sports massage after the gym. We only offer the massages listed in the price table.
What should I ask about the therapist?
Ask on the phone which massage course the therapist completed and how long they've been working; a serious therapist will answer directly. If you're coming after surgery, a fracture or with a disc hernia, ask for a therapist trained in rehabilitation, for example in kinesiotherapy, and bring your doctor's recommendation. For a relaxing massage, what matters most is that the pressure suits you.
How often should I come for a massage?
For a tense back, many people come once a week or once every two weeks; if you want a course, agree it with the therapist. Anti-cellulite massage is also done as a course, of 8-10 sessions. For relaxation there's no fixed rule: one session a month, or whenever you feel you need it, is enough.
Can I give a massage session as a gift?
Yes. You choose the massage and duration from the table, pay for the session, and the person you're giving it to calls themselves and picks a day and time that suits them. We agree the form of the voucher, printed or sent to your phone, and how long it can be used for, when you order it. It's a fitting gift for someone who works a lot and rests too little.
